American Midstream Partners, LP is a growth-oriented Delaware limited partnership that was formed in August 2009 to own, operate, develop, and acquire a diversified portfolio of midstream energy assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, treating, processing, fractionating, and transporting natural gas, oil, and condensate through our ownership and operation of 12 gathering systems, five processing facilities, three fractionation facilities, three interstate pipelines, and five intrastate pipelines. We also own a 50% undivided, non-operating interest in a natural gas processing plant located in southern Louisiana and a 67% non-operating interest in an offshore oil pipeline. We are also an owner, developer, and operator of petroleum, agricultural, and chemical-liquid terminal storage facilities through our ownership of four marine terminal sites.
Our assets, which are strategically located in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas, provide critical infrastructure that links producers and suppliers of natural gas to diverse natural gas and NGL markets, including various interstate and intrastate pipelines, as well as utility, industrial, and other commercial customers. We currently operate approximately 3,100 miles of pipelines that gather and transport over 1 Bcf/d of natural gas and operate approximately 1.7 million barrels of above-ground storage capacity.
Our operations are organized into three segments: Gathering and Processing, Transmission, and Terminals.
Our Gathering and Processing segment provides “wellhead-to-market” services to producers of natural gas and oil, which includes transporting natural gas and oil from various receipt points through gathering systems, treating the natural gas, processing natural gas to separate the NGLs from the natural gas, fractionating, and selling or delivering pipeline quality natural gas as well as NGLs to various markets and pipeline systems.
Our Transmission segment is comprised of interstate and intrastate pipelines that transport natural gas from interconnection points on other large pipelines to customers – such as local distribution companies, electric utilities, direct-served industrial complexes – or to interconnects on other pipelines.
Our Terminals segment provides above-ground storage services at our marine terminals. The storage services support various commercial customers – including commodities brokers, refiners, and chemical manufacturers – to store products that range from crude oil and bunker fuel to distillates, chemicals, and agricultural products.
